Gabriel had his 4 month checkup last week. I am wondering if my measurements were accurate when I did his 3 month stats. Either way, he did not fail to impress the doctor by the amount to which he as grown in the last 2 months. He weighed in at: 18 lbs 12 oz... making him probably over 19 lbs today; and he was measured at 27 and 1/2 inches. The doctor said that he was completely off the chart for his height (and I quote: "The chart doesn't even go up that high, he is not even on the chart") and in the 97th percentile for his weight.
As of late Gabriel is/enjoys:
- blowing spit bubbles
- drooling
- making noises with his lips
- being thrown in the air about 6 inches
- munching on his fingers
- being swaddled for bedtime (his favorite!)
- learning to sit up by himself in the Bumbo
- holding his head up about 10 minutes during tummy time (before he face plants and cries... we end up doing 7-8 different tummy time sessions every day)
- getting tickled (he is stingy with his smiles, and especially laughing... this only works 50% of the time)
- and of course: SCOWLING - I assure you, he was born with this scowl on, brows all furrowed. It is an inherited trait from his father's side. See picture if you need proof.
He is still an amazing baby (practically perfect!) and we just love him with all our hearts. We are grateful to have his sweet spirit in our family and for the joy that he brings into our lives.
