On February 1st was my niece Ellie's 4th birthday. In lieu of this special occasion my brother Jason (her proud daddio) decided to hold a family birthday party for her the day after, Saturday the 2nd. By having it on Saturday it allowed for all three of us siblings living in the Phoenix Valley to drive down to attend and party with her. I would have to say that the day was a great success. Ellie loved being able to play with her cousin Sawyer and meeting the two new little cousins - Benson and Tatiana.

She also got to spend time with all of us aunts and uncles.

She even helped me to decorate the dining room for her party.
We were able to eat the most scrumptious ribs (thanks once again to the handy-work of Jason) along with other yummy delectableness. In sitting down at dinner everyone could feel that Merma's touch was indeed lacking and that it was all put together by Dad Jason and Papa - paper utensils, no vegetable tray, no place mats with identifying nametags, store bought cake, and way more meat then any sane woman would allow on the dinner table at one sitting. Nevertheless, even with men's touch, the party was a success. And Merma did get to wish the birthday girl a Happy Birthday thanks to Skype.

All in all, a pretty successful 4th birthday if I do say so myself. Happy Birthday Ellie.
